This is where we stayed

Mississippi River

Tour of Natchez

We arrived in Natchez, Ms, on May 7th.  Natchez sets high on a hill overlooking the Mississippi River.  We are staying at Natchez State Park and we both agree that it is the nicest park so far.  Very clean and nice shaded lots on a large lake.  We toured historic Natchez and since I am a civil war buff,  I loved all of it.  I also toured a mansion (while Archie and Terry set in the truck under a shade tree) built in 1834 by a wealthy cotton owner.  Mississippi is a very poor state in the surrounding areas.  We had a big storm and I was worried about damage, but just a lot of lightning and thunder.  Of course, while we were here Terry cleaned his truck, camper and rearranged everything in the back of the truck!!!!!!  He is going to have to learn to sit down and take it easy like a retired person.
