Well, we are here in Waveland, Ms.  We arrived on Wednesday and are staying at Buccaneer State Park.  When we got here I thought I made a mistake by staying here.  The effects of Katrina are still all around us.  The park was once full of shade trees and is now sand and a very few trees.  But after being here for a few days, we really like it.  One evening we drove about 35 miles north to Keesler Air Force Base where Terry was stationed in 1971.  Of course everything has changed.  We drove up to the guard house on the base and the guard saw me take a picture and he took my camera and deleted the picture!!!!!  On Friday we drove to New Orleans and went to Mike and Tina Mitchells house.  Tina is Terry's first cousin (Bob Fletcher's daughter).  They gave us a royal tour of their home town.  They treated us to a brunch in the french quarters (close to Mike office).  We saw a side of New Orleans we didn't know.  The parks, homes, churches were all so beautiful, and of course Bourbon Street was fun and exciting.  Thank you Mike and Tina for the tour and it was great to spend the day with the both of you.  We will be leaving for Houston on Sunday.  We can't believe two weeks have already gone by!!!!  Archie is still alive and well.
